Self-confessed purveyor of what she calls "spaghetti disco pop", Bec Sandridge has signed a deal with label Farmer & The Owl today.

The Leisure Coast, NSW local label's co-founders Ben Tillman and Jeb Taylor say of the signing, "Bec has always written great songs and backed it up with a strong and ambitious work ethic. But when we heard the new songs it only took us one listen to know this was something special.

"We both knew immediately we should release this and start working with her. It was obvious. Bec is going to own 2016 and beyond!"

Sandridge joins labelmates Hockey Dad, Totally Unicorn, Pinheads and TEES and echoes the label's excitement in the new chapter of her career, stating she's "over the moon" to sign to her hometown label.

"I met up with Ben and Jeb and their love for the local scene was infectious. As someone who has danced between Glasgow and Australia for the past few years, it's nice to have such direct and overwhelming support from my hometown."

To celebrate the signing, Sandridge has dropped the brand new single, You're A Fucking Joke, a song about "a person in Glasgow".

"All my friends were going through similar situations. And we thought  'what's with all these people dangling the carrot, saying they are interested and then changing their mind?'"
