More The Beatles The Beatles

The Beatles iconic concert on the rooftop of Apple Corps' Savile Row headquarters in January of 1969 will debut as a special 60-minute feature at IMAX Melbourne from February 10-13 and select traditional cinemas in Victoria from February 17th.

All other states will release on the big screen from February the 10th.

“I’m thrilled that the rooftop concert from The Beatles: Get Back is going to be experienced in IMAX, on that huge screen,” says director/producer Peter Jackson

“It’s The Beatles’ last concert, and it’s the absolute perfect way to see and hear it.”

The concert is taken from Jackson's original docuseries The Beatles: Get Back and will be both visually and sonically optimised and remastered for IMAX screens.

The Beatles: Get Back takes audiences back in time to the band's 1969 studio sessions, highlighting their creative process in an attempt to write 14 songs in preparation for their first live concert in over 14 years.

What emerges is an intimate portrait of one of the biggest bands in history, as their relationships are put to the test and the world's most iconic songs are written and performed.

Tickets for the IMAX Melbourne Screenings and other sessions are currently on sale HERE.

The Beatles: Get Back is currently streaming on Disney+ and will release on Blu-ray on February 23.
