It all goes down in honour of his debut EP 'Trackpad' from early October
Venerated Sydney-bred club-lord Basenji is staring down the barrel of releasing his debut EP, Trackpad, announcing that he's preceding its release with a five-show jaunt around the nation, unveiling the brand new clip for the delicate, airily glitchtastic new single, Petals, for good measure.
The multitalented Dawn hitmaker will hit the road starting in Perth, at Jack Rabbit Slim's, on Friday 2 October, heading across to Adelaide's Rocket Bar on 4 October, up to Brisbane's Woolly Mammoth on 9 October, down to Howler, in Melbourne, on 10 October, and will finally wrap up at the Oxford Art Factory, Sydney, on Friday 16 October.
Before you rush off to sort your tickets, though, take a moment to sit back and appreciate the video for Petals — the audio for which features the delicious vocal work of Scenic frontman Adam Tucker — and its ethereal, shifting colourscape. Dreamy.
Petals' video was directed and produced by Chester Buchanan, who also handled editing and visual effects duties. It stars Jenna Owen, Cian Lyons, Joep Meertens, Jordan Xinger Xanger (great name) and Seb Mueke.
