English electronic music duo Basement Jaxx will bring their acclaimed orchestral live show Down Under in 2019.

Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe have confirmed the Basement Jaxx vs The Metropolitan Orchestra show will sweep through Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane next April, delivering re-imagined versions of the duo’s classic hits.

The exciting show dates back to 2011, when Basement Jaxx teamed up with The Metropole Orkest for a live album, and their Australian dates will showcase a “new and updated version” of the project.

The show will offer up re-interpretations of the group’s classics, while also introducing “specially commissioned new work and a few surprises along the way”, with Vula and Sharlene Hector confirmed on vocal duties.

The tour kicks off next April in Melbourne, before moving on to Sydney and Brisbane Brisbane.
