Bad//Dreems, KLP Recall Wild Nights At Fat Controller As Venue Celebrates One Year

To celebrate one year in the game, Adelaide venue Fat Controller is releasing a commemorative photography book of epic live shots from the past 12 months.

Fat Controller's first year has been an incredible ride and I'm so grateful to be involved in a venue that continues to raise the bar of the South Australian music scene.

We've had some outstanding artists both local and international; from JAUZ and BadBadNotGood through to Alison Wonderland, Bad//Dreems and Jungle Giants.

Thank you for all the support and we can't wait to show you all what we have in store for 2017! Watch this space.

Fat Controller is such a unique venue. I had a lot of fun there - where else can you play to a great crowd and then get a haircut in the backstage area! Oh, and they gave me a chocolate cake so we’re BFFs now.

When I first walked into Fat Controller I was pretty blown away at the space and the energy coming off the people in the crowd. Adelaide really seems to be thriving right now!

It's been heart-warming seeing the venue grow and become a vital player in the music scene in Adelaide, I've had some of the most amazing times playing and partying in that venue, yet to try and get a beard trim in the green room, though, I think I need to do it next time.

I remember playing the GTM after party at the Fat Controller this year and it was wild. What So Not and I ended up playing a back-to-back set, mixing every single genre we could, at one point I think I was up on his shoulders possibly throwing some weird dance moves around while the crowd were throwing weird dance moves back. Good times.

We rocked up at Fat Controller for our Bad Xmas show last Chrissy. Three songs in a dude in the front row had fed Ben a banana, the fence had snapped in half and the entire Fat Controller management team were rap squatting to hold it up and another fella was hanging from the lighting rig. Only at Fat Controller!
