Avenged Sevenfold frontman M. Shadows has confirmed that the band will enter the studio next month to begin recording their new album.
"This album's a little more groove orientated," Shadows said in the recent interview. "There's a little bit more groove to it, a little bit more focused on bigger riffs. So that's where it's headed – every song has gotta have a huge riff and every song has to have a groove to it."
The forthcoming album will be the follow-up to Nightmare, released in 2010 through Warner Bros. Records.
