Australian Blues Music Awards Reveal 2017 Finalists

Geoff Achison paves the way

The Australian Blues Music Awards have unveiled their 2017 list of finalists today, ahead of the February awards show recognising blues excellence across Australia.

Melburnian Geoff Achison and his band The Souldiggers lead the nominations with four nods, including Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Artist Of The Year and Duo/Group Of The Year.

Hurricane Hearn and Brisbane's Blues Arcadia have both picked up three nominations a piece, while Claude Hay and Justin Yap Band score two each.

The Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Artist Of The Year, Duo/Group Of The Year and Best New Talent Of The Year awards are all presented based on recorded product only, by a panel of diverse judges.
