The emergent rock outfit will hit the road for a tour this September
Ascendant Aussie rock outfit Australia have preempted the expected spike in hype that was inevitably going to happen at the band's showing at next month's BIGSOUND Festival with the news that they have become the newest management clients for esteemed agency Nathan Farrell Entertainment (NFE).
The deal sees them join NFE's existing management roster, which already includes A-list locals such as Thundamentals, Tuka, Richard In Your Mind, PON CHO and Moreton, among others, and comes in the wake of the official release of gloriously retro, highly replayable recent single Breathe In.
The song is the fourth track to be taken from the band's acclaimed debut full-length, Portraits Of People, Places & Movies, which exploded onto the scene earlier this year and brought with it a re-emergence of classic local rock vibes of the sort championed throughout the 1980s and '90s. Audiences have utterly lapped it up, too, with the band having already seen broad success — and solidly blossoming buzz — by way of their previous three singles, Love Is Better, Who R U? and Wake In Fright.
Indeed, the band have struck so assured a position so early on that it seems that it was impossible for NFE general manager Josef Muller not to notice them, finding himself a dedicated supporter of the nascent outfit from the get-go.

"We’ve been keen followers and supporters of Australia since their very first single and are really thrilled to be working with them as we roll into this tour and then hunker down to work on their second album," Muller told The Music. "On a straight fan level, Portraits Of People, Places & Movies is one of my favourite albums of the year so far. If you ain't across it, do yourself a favour and get so."
Encouragingly, Australia are giving you the opportunity to do that in the flesh, with a run of shows just announced in and around their impending appearance at BIGSOUND (7-8 September). The group kick off at Manly's Moonshine on Friday 2 September and follow their festival performance with further showings in Byron Bay, Port Macquarie, Sydney, Wollongong, Ballarat and Melbourne.
