The Encore Score is an annual regulated survey for the ranking of Australian talent across media in film, music and TV in who we love and hate the most.
For the first time this year. politicians were added into the mix and the results ain't pretty.
Four politicians rated in the top ten list for most hated celebrities, with three rounding out the top five.
Our fearless leader and Prime Minister Tony Abbott came in at second place, proving again that he's still not the most preferred candidate...of an online list, we mean. Meanwhile Abbott's right hand man Joe Hockey came in at #4, and though we expected that, there's no doubt he was sweating over this like it was budget cut season all over again.
Sitting behind him respectively in fifth spot is Clive Palmer who has probably already kicked up a fuss that he isn't number one without actually checking what the list is about and one spot down from him is One Nation leader Pauline Hanson — we imagine she is already a lifelong member at this stage.
Meanwhile, many would be surprised to see controversial shock-jock Kyle Sandilands drop down to #3 only behind Abbott and the man who took the top spot, disgraced entertainer Rolf Harris, which proves only one thing — only a convicted criminal and the face of the Liberal Party are worse than Sandilands. No, that wasn't a compliment, Kyle.
Over on the most loved list however, no one was surprised to see national treasure Hugh Jackman take out the number one spot — the man can act, sing, dance, play a superhero and is an all around nice bloke. Not to mention he brought Vegemite to the world stage. You're welcome, universe.
Others to join the list include US-based actors Olivia Newton-John, Eric Bana, Nicole Kidman and Simon Baker. Notice a theme here? Looks like if you want recognition in Australia, you best pack your bags and get the hell outta here. Probably won't help Sandilands' cause but we'll gladly help him find his way out.
While Cate Blanchett does currently reside in Aus, she's already announced she's moving to America later this year anyway, so there's no wonder she came in at #2.
