The Brighton showcase festival has kicked off and our reporter is already amongst it.
The annual The Great Escape festival in the seaside town of Brighton in the UK has become a pretty vital destination for burgeoning bands looking to make a splash in international markets and a whole stack of Aussie bands have been updating their social media accounts with pictures of Changi airport, London pubs and now Brighton attractions as they descend upon the town this weekend.
Our reporter Bryget Chrisfield is on the ground in Brighton and has already enjoyed a couple of days of music since touching down. Her early pick are Paris bred but now UK based electro pop trio We Were Evergreen.
One group who won't be joining in on The Great Escape fun is Jagwar Ma, who earlier this week were forced to make the decision to stay home due to the band's Jono Ma suffering from a medical issue that will prevent him from flying for some time.
