Venerated local label Sweat It Out Music! is no stranger to American shores, having routinely conducted business on the other side of the planet in mythical locales such as New York, Miami and Los Angeles, but they've never been able to solidly put a foot down in North America — until now, that is.
Off the back of constantly increasing American interest in the label's domestic talent — a line-up that includes the likes of Crooked Colours, Indian Summer, RÜFÜS, Porsches and several others — as well as a rise in their own machinations involving US-based acts, the time is perfect for the group to be expanding their physical presence with the establishment of an actual office out of which the company can operate in LA.
"We couldn't be more excited about this, not just because of how good the weather is every single day of the year, but also because of the depth of calibre of the people we have enlisted to take on this super-exciting venture for the label, events and publishing," the Sweat It Out team said in a statement.
Indeed, Sweat It Out have done well in gathering a talented team to man the ship over in the States, with established artist Sinden coming on board to handle A&R along with veteran DJ Trevor Moffit, aka Bones, while Your Army mainstay Matt Black will take on Promotions duty, and career PR legend Joe Fisher will assume respsonsibility for TV & Commercial Radio deals.
