Qualified audio engineers looking for real world experience are being encouraged to register for the newly-launched 301 Academy at Australia's premier recording space, Studios 301.

Created by 301 owner and SAE founder Tom Misner, the Academy aims to "to bridge the gap between the completion of a tertiary audio degree or diploma, and working as a full-time audio engineer".

“I created the Studios 301 Academy to give upcoming engineers an all practical experience working from Australia’s only top-tier studio," Misner said.

"Taking people out of their classroom environment and putting them in one of the world’s best studios with real working engineers is invaluable experience you can only get at 301.”

Participants will have the opportunity to work with some of Australia's best including Grammy-nominated engineer Simon Cohen (Justin Bieber, Katy Perry), former Sony and Universal Music A&R Director Peter Karpin and chief mastering engineer Steve Smart (Midnight Oil, Vance Joy, Tash Sultana).

The debut course kicks off on Monday 19 August following Studios 301's information day on Saturday 6 July. To register, click here.
