The track is fuelled by emotion and romantic melodies, driven by a crunching bass line and a repeated harmonies. She whispers I Was Your Best Friend, adding a bittersweetness to the track, one that reflects on falling in love with your best friend. The track is a dance pop-love ballad turned tragic, as ASHWARYA protects her feelings to not ruin a relationship.

Of the single she states, "Catching feels for your best friend straight up sucks, and I wanted to convey that internal turmoil of not wanting to ruin the friendship. The core of this song is a tragedy because it got me reminiscing on what used to be. That aside, though, creating this track was nuts. I wanna give people something different than before, something to ferociously sing and dance to. I need that myself right now."

ASHWARYA will perform at Naarm's Yarra Park this Sunday the 13th of November in the Melbourne Cricket Ground precinct as a part of the T20 World Cup Finals' live entertainment line up. On the live front she's beyond established, performing at festivals including Filed Day, NYW On The Hill as well as supporting Broods, Meg Mac and many more.
