Ash Grunwald Announces Victorian Shows

Sooki Lounge, Church On Chapel and Lorne Hotel on the agenda

More Ash Grunwald Ash Grunwald

Blues and roots musician Ash Grunwald has announced a run of Victorian shows, further showcasing his new album Now, with its intense boom and lose-yourself-sounds of psychedelic blues.

On Now, Grunwald brought in Ian Perez, keyboardist for Wolfmother and Pete Wilkins, former drummer for Blue King Brown. The pair built the launch pad for the album and keeping it old-school, the gents jammed it out live, forming a wall of sound as abundant in clout as it is in groove.

Grunwald has been on the radar since winning an ARIA in 2005, releasing eight albums and carefully honing his style, especially in 2013 when working on his album Guargantua with the help of Scott and Andy from The Living End.

Shows are Thursday 21 January at the Sooki Lounge, Friday 22 at Chapel Off Chapel and Sunday 24 Jan at the Lorne Hotel.
