The vocalist accused of trying to have his wife killed is out of prison.
As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis has posted $2 million bail and been released from jail after spending two weeks behind bars after being caught trying to have his wife killed.
Authorities told San Diego's ABC 10 News that Lambesis posted the $2 million bail, which was recently reduced from the original figure of $3 million, but not quite the $250,000 that Lambesis' lawyer had hoped to get it to.
While Lambesis is now out of jail, he is subjected to a number of stringent restrictions on his freedom; he will be forced to wear a GPS tracking device at all times and is not permitted to leave San Diego. Unsurprisingly, he is also not allowed to make contact with his estranged wife Meggan or their three adopted children.
Earlier, Lambesis' lawyer blamed his recent erratic behaviour on the use of and attempt to quit steroids. It is believed he will face a maximum sentence of nine years in prison if found guilty. Another readiness conference is scheduled for Wednesday 26 June.
