In the last hour, news broke that As I Lay Dying frontman, Tim Lambesis, has been arrested following accusations that he hired an undercover detective to have his estranged wife killed.
The San Diego Sherriff's office stated that Lambesis had been taken into custody, and police have previously known that Lambesis was seeking someone to carry out the hit.
"The information came to us late last week. We acted quickly on it. I believe that we averted a great tragedy," said San Diego County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Jan Caldwell.
Melbourne newspaper The Age reports:
"A representative for the As I Lay Dying's record label, Metal Blade, could not immediately be reached for comment. It was unclear if Lambesis had an attorney."
