San Diego Christian metalcore band shock scene
Tim Lambesis, frontman of Christian metal outfit As I Lay Dying, has been arrested on charges of trying to hire a hitman to kill his wife.
Reported by NBC, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department said that they learned last Thursday that Lambesis had engaged in the process of hiring someone to kill his spouse and began an investigation. He has been charged with solicitation of another to commit murder.
Local radio contributor Tim Pyles told the report that the news regarding the San Diego band was a shock to the community.
“He's not the idealistic young Christian kid he once was, apparently,” he said. “Because that's what they are: a straight-edged Christian metal band. He was a nice guy. I've had him on my show a couple times over the years. I just spoke to him via Facebook the last couple months about having him come on to talk about his latest record.”
