Guy Sebastian, Skegss & Powderfinger Lead Huge Week For Aussies On ARIA Charts

It's shaped up to be a huge week for local artists on the ARIA Charts!

Guy Sebastian has taken out the #1 place on the ARIA Albums Chart with his ninth studio album, T.R.U.T.H, making his third #1 album. 

“What a journey it’s been. I still can’t believe that one of the most personal albums I have released has resonated with so many people," said Sebastian. 

"It has been quite an extraordinary year for everyone, and I am really humbled that these songs have connected and helped along the way. Thank you to Denis Handlin, Pat Handlin and my Sony Music Family as well as Jen Fontaine and her Private Idaho team and everyone who has supported this album. I am forever grateful."

Angus Gill & The Seasons Of Change have also made their Album Chart debut with 3 Minute Movie coming in at #28. 

Vinyl reissues have made a large impact on the charts this week, with Byron Bay trio Skegss have landing at #4 on the chart, thanks to the reissue of their 2015 EP, 50 Push Ups For A Dollar. Additionally, they have topped this week's Vinyl Chart. 

Powderfinger have also seen a massive result from the reissuing of their classic albums, landing at #10 on the Albums Chart with the 20th anniversary edition of Odyssey Number 5

Significantly, the Brisbane group have seen three of their albums enter the Vinyl Chart, with Odyssey Number 5 at #2, 1996's Double Allergic at #3 and 1998's Internationalist at #7.
