The planets are aligning...
Let's be frank, the excitement surrounding Daft Punk has died down significantly considering just how intense it was a couple of months ago. One way to stoke that fire up again would be for the French electro duo to come back out into the live arena for the first time since the release of their Random Access Memories LP and, indeed, for the first time in a number of years.
Could that happen as early as tomorrow? It's possible.
The Colbert Report has recently announced Daft Punk will be special guests on their Tuesday evening (US time) show. While they haven't stipulated whether or not the duo will actually be playing or not, they have confirmed that Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo will be on the show.
To add fuel to that fire, it has also been announced that Chic frontman, Meredith headliner and Daft Punk collaborator Nile Rodgers will be on the Late Night With Jimmy Fallon program on the very same night.

Both Daft Punk and Rodgers are making television appearances on the same day, both shows are taped in New York City… is it too much to expect that we might see a fully-fledged performance in the next 36 hours? We don't know what Pharrell is up to, but we reckon from his Facebook post last night that he'd be keen to play.
Both episodes of The Colbert Report and Late Night With Jimmy Fallon will screen on Foxtel's The Comedy Channel on Wednesday night.
