Architects Claim First Ever Aussie #1 Album With 'For Those That Wish To Exist'

The UK outfit has done it!

UK heavyweights Architects have scored their first ever #1 Australian album with their ninth studio record, For Those That Wish To Exist.

The album, which also debuted at #1 in their home country, is the post-metalcore quintet's third straight album to hit the top ten of the ARIA Albums chart.

Architects beat Brisbane band Sheppard's Kaleidoscope Eyes which debuted at #2 and music legend Alice Cooper's 21st solo album, Detroit Stories, at #3 (Cooper's highest ever local debut).

Other Aussie acts who debuted in the top 40 of the Albums chart this week included Melbourne six-piece King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard's 17th album LW (#39) and Nick Cave & Warren Ellis' Carnage (#40).

Over on the Singles chart, Glass Animals have managed to stay on top with Heat Waves, just ahead of Olivia Rodrigo's Driver's License at #2 and Australia's own The Kid LAROI at #3 with Without You.

Meanwhile emerging Sydney rapper Masked Wolf has continued to climb the charts here in Australia and abroad with Astronaut In The Ocean.
