Archie Roach And My Friend The Chocolate Cake Announce One-Off Concert

Seminal Australian acts Archie Roach and My Friend The Chocolate Cake have announced they'll be performing separately and together at an incredibly special concert.

Set to take place at the Sydney Opera House on Saturday, 9 January, the long time friends will be performing on the same bill for the first time in two decades, with Roach playing songs off the album that plummeted him into popularity, Charcoal Lane, while My Friend The Chocolate Cake will play songs from across their eight-album catalogue.

The two acts have worked numerous times in the past; MFTCC's David Bridie even produced Roach's second album Jamu Dreaming.

Bridie says of the upcoming show, "The thought of twenty years later joining forces again in the salubrious surrounds of Sydney Opera House fills us all with excitement."
