Be quick - they close next week.
You might remember a few months back when the Victorian state government announced the 'Good Music Neighbours' program — an initiative designed to help live music venues better control sound emissions and maintain strong relationships with neighbouring businesses and residences.
Well, if you want in here's your chance, because applications are open now.
Venues can apply for up to $25,000 in funding, which goes towards engaging with a sound proofing service, the installation of acoustic insulations in walls, ceilings and floors, installing acoustic glazing, sound absorbing materials and air-lock doors, as well as capital investment in sound equipment and room design to reduce sound emissions.
Speaking to theMusic, Music Victoria's Nick Cooper says the program is important for any live music venue.

"We encourage all traditional and non-traditional live music venues – that’s anyone hosting live music on a regular basis – to be proactive in managing their sound and demonstrate best practice," Cooper said.
"GMN is a fantastic opportunity for venues to get on the good foot and put in an application should they have a sound management project or need acoustic advice."
Applicants must be an owner, operator or authorised representative of a live music entertainment venue.
All grant opportunities will close at 5pm on Wednesday 13 July.
