Apparently Jet's 'Are You Gonna Be My Girl?' Is As Bad As That Crazy Frog Song

27 December 2017 | 1:00 pm | Staff Writer

That just seems mean.

More Jet More Jet

Jet's famous single, Are You Gonna Be My Girl?, is apparently so bad that it has been lumped with a some truly heinous works like the Crazy Frog song and the Bob The Builder theme.

The band's 2003 single has unfortunately cracked NME's 20 worst songs of the '00s, which they've slammed as "cruel".

It reads, "That opening bassline kicks in and for a few sweet seconds you think you're listening to A Town Called Malice by The Jam.

"Instead we get three-and-a-half minutes of highly derivative pop-rock that evokes memories of a hundred shit mid-noughties indie nights in damp provincial towns."
