"We are very proud to be joining his team and playing a supportive role in his further development."
Dharawal musician Aodhan (Aidan Whitehall) has picked up a publishing deal with UK group Communion.
The 16-year-old took out the 2019 triple j Unearthed High Indigenous Initiative and has since taken part in the APRA AMCOS SongMakers program, working with Josh Pyke and Jean-Paul Fung on his track Drive.
Aodhan now joins the likes of Michael Kiwanuka, Matt Corby, Catfish & The Bottlemen, George Ezra, Bastille, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Nightsweats, Sam Fender and more in the Communion family.
"I've been a fan of lots of Communion artists over the years and am absolutely stoked to now be a part of the team," said Aodhan.
"Communion Publishing is focused on working with songwriters with something to say and an original way of saying it," said Communion managing director Jamie Emsell.
"Despite his young age, Aodhan is already that and we are very proud to be joining his team and playing a supportive role in his further development as a writer and artist."
