Anthrax To Play Three Sidewaves

Forget what you may have heard, there are actually three chances to see Anthrax besides Soundwave this February.

Fans of Anthrax will no doubt already be pretty stoked about the band being one of the many great thrash bands playing at the 2013 Soundwave Festival and Anthrax fans along the east coast  of the country can now get even more excited as the band have just announced they will play sideshows in the three east coast capitals when they are over here for the Soundwave tour next month.

The New York City bred thrashers are one of the most legendary names in the history of heavy music and, frankly, one of the best thrash bands that ever existed. Over 30 years in the game, ten LPs and a whole stack of great singles are proof alone of the sheer quality of this band.

Anyone who caught them on their last visit to Australia as a part of Soundwave a few years back will also attest to the fact that they still dominate in the live setting and the chance to see them in a club environment is one that ought not be missed! Sydney fans get it even better, as they get to see two of the Big Four in one intimate show as they support Slayer at Luna Park. Melburnians get Fozzy and This Is Hell on their bill, while Brisbane is treated to Anthrax all on their lonesome.

The band play the following three shows, tickets for Brisbane and Melbourne shows are on sale from Friday 18 January.

Thursday 21 February – The Hi-Fi, Brisbane (Anthrax only)
Monday 25 February – Big Top Luna Park, Sydney (with Slayer and Kingdom Of Sorrow)
Thursday 28 February – The Hi-Fi, Melbourne (with Fozzy and This Is Hell)
