Thrash metal legends Anthrax have announced Soundwave sideshows for Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne this February.

With a career that stretches 30 years, Anthrax have influenced countless heavy metal bands with their jackhammer riffs while always remaining ahead of the pack (remember their crossover hit with Public Enemy in 1991, ‘Bring The Noise’? Not many other metal bands would have dared team up with a rap group back then, but it obviously got the ball rolling for what would later become nu metal). These days Anthrax are still tearing up stages the world over as one of thrash metal’s Big Four, alongside Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth.

Anthrax will play a solo headline show at Brisbane’s Hi Fi; will join Kingdom of Sorrow and Slayer at Sydney’s Big Top Luna Park; and will finish up at Melbourne’s Hi-Fi with Fozzy and This Is Hell.

Tickets on sale 18 January at 9 am.
