Andrew Morris Drops New Release And Tour Dates

14 September 2012 | 9:39 am | Mat Lee

Inspirational book influenced The Wilson Pickers member to record.

The Wilson Pickers' Andrew Morris has announced the date of his spontaneous sixth solo release The Situationist, fresh with some tour dates in celebration.

Inspired by the counter-consumer culture book, How To Be Free by Tom Hodgkinson, Morris collected a troupe from The Gin Club, provided the grog, and recorded a record that reflects his current live shows.

The track list features great covers of Bob Dylan's It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry' and You Am I's Heavy Heart, musical renditions of Banjo Paterson, some sweet originals, as well as an acoustic reworking of his own Lover to conclude.
