The US veterans are celebrating their 20th anniversary with shows around the world this year
Venerated US outfit ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead have announced a handful of Australian tour dates as part of their 20th-anniversary celebrations this year, bringing their acclaimed alt-rock sounds to stages in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth this August.
The band kick off their commemorative jaunt on the west coast, hitting the Rosemount Hotel, in Perth, on Wednesday, 12 August, before jetting cross-country to hit Melbourne's Corner Hotel on Thursday, 13 August, Sydney's Manning Bar on Friday, 14 August, and The Triffid, in Brisbane, on Saturday, 15 August. Local art-rock vets The Red Paintings will be on-board for all shows, their first such outing at home in more than two years, with debut LP The Revolution Is Never Coming in tow and ready to be unleashed on Aussie ears.
The band have remained prolific throughout their two-decade stint, with core members Conrad Keely and Jason Reece remaining a constant force in the band's shifting line-up since their formation in 1994. Their 2002 breakthrough, Source Tags & Codes, came three albums into their now-nine-album-strong catalogue, their most recent effort being the fittingly titled IX, which dropped last year to wide acclaim.
Since that album's release, ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dad have been jet-setting around the world in honour of their 20 years together as an outfit, with a glut of shows over in the US and in Europe informing their impending Aussie dates, which promise to highlight not only new favourites from the latest release but enduring classics from throughout their storied career.
