Promo video leaks Shark's reality TV debut
Singer songwriter Amy Shark has been confirmed as joining the cast of The Celebrity Apprentice to air on Nine later this year. The 'full' cast of the show was revealed in 2021 with Shark curiously absent from the list. Media and fans were left asking questions of her appearance at a recent filming of a task at Sydney's Manly Beach with many assuming she was a one-off guest. Nine launched a new on-air promo for the show however, with Shark being added to the cast for the first time.
The lavish 90 second promo (set to The Backstreet Boys' 'Larger Than Life') shows each of the celebrity contestants, also including fellow musician Samantha Jade, with Shark featured towards the end of the promo.

Shark, who is embarking on a mammoth 60 date tour across Australia was not included at last year's cast unveiling, so it is unclear why she was omitted or how she came to join the cast. To date Nine has yet to update the show's official page with Shark's inclusion. Other than promoting her upcoming shows, Shark has been notably absent from social media over the past few weeks, where final filming for the series is known to have been taking place, however neither Nine nor Shark have specifically announced her inclusion other than via the promo.
No doubt she'll be hoping for a better time of things than fellow pop stars The Veronicas who were unhappy with the show's editing, describing their time on the program as "gut wrenching, soul destroying treatment". Anthony Callea, Deni Hines, Rob Mills, Brian Mannix, Prinnie Stevens have all successfully flown the flag for musicians in the past. The more singer songwriters on mainstream TV screens the better we say. Onya Amy!
