And he's returning to one Australian city for the first time in 27 years!
The legendary John Prine has today announced sideshow dates for his scheduled appearance at next year's Bluesfest.
Prine will now play headline shows in three Australian cities, including Adelaide where he hasn't visited in 27 years.
Prine has been described as the "songwriter's songwriter", with everyone from Bruce Springsteen, John Denver and Johnny Cash to Norah Jones, Ben Harper and Bette Midler recording from his extensive back catalogue or performing alongside him.
