Running 10.30am - 10.30pm at Harbour Town Docklands in the Melbourne Star Observation Wheel and Wonderland Spiegeltent precinct, the Dockland Blues Music Festival returns in October.
This year the theme for the free event is Goin' Down To New Orleans. Headlining is American bluesman Chris Cain, who shares the 12 hours of the non-stop music event running across four stages with 22 other acts from across Australia, among them The Melbourne Jukes, Room 15, Jesse Valach & Blues Mountain, Safari Motel, Paulie Bignell & The Thornbury Two and Sweet Felicia & The Honeytones, all performing on the Melbourne Star stage.
Across the other three stages, you'll see, among many more, Wilson & White, Nick Charles, Forth Avenue Band (featuring Women In Blues), Southbound Tram, Isaiah B Brunt, Blue Eyes Cry, Mick Dog's Bone Yard and the inimitable Lloyd Spiegel. Featuring four indoor and outdoor stages within some licenced seated venues, and with a family day event the weekend before as a curtain raiser to the festival, for full details, go to theGuide.
