Alter Bridge have announced they will be releasing a new album called Fortress in September.

Alter Bridge have announced they will release a new album on September 27 through Warner Music.

Entitled Fortress, it marks the band's fourth studio album.

Fortress has been produced by Michael ‘Elvis’ Baskette (Stone Temple Pilots, Incubus, Trivium) as well as recorded in his studio in Florida.

Of the album, guitarist Mark Tremonti said:

“When we started pre-production on this album, we pushed ourselves harder and further than we ever have previously in order to make the most out of every individual arrangement. We wanted this album to be our most unpredictable and exciting one yet. From the early feedback we have received, it looks like we have achieved what we set out to do."
