Alison Wonderland, Broods, Dune Rats & More Named For Wonderland 2015

29 September 2015 | 5:03 pm | Staff Writer

The West Australian institution returns for a fifth year this December

Perth's Wonderland festival is pulling out the big guns nice and early ahead of its fifth iteration this December, unveiling a line-up filled with A-list Aussies and international counterparts led by the likes of Alison Wonderland — making her second Wonderland appearance — Kiwi outfit Broods and local stoner heroes Dune Rats.

Joining those acts will be one-man wizardry show The Kite String Tangle, eclectic soul/funk/hip hop collective Koi Child, Canberran electro darlings SAFIA and US fly-in and producer extraordinaire Sweater Beats.

The first crop is but a taste of the ultimate picture being painted for this year's event, with organisers promising not only another "major act" still to be announced, but a smorgasbord of non-musical goodies including The Village Marketplace, bespoke bars, gourmet food, sculpture park "and plenty more surprises", the absolute teases. Speaking of, though, the event is still accepting marketplace stallholder applications for this year's event; see the festival website for more information.

This year's Wonderland will be held in Langley Park (corner of Plain and Hay streets) on Saturday 19 December from 1pm-10pm. An exclusive release of pre-sale tickets — with three allocations, set at $0, $39 and $69 — opened up this morning, and will run through till 9am this coming Monday 5 October.
