AJ Maddah Confirms Warped Tour Won't Be Back This Year

It's not just "off the wall", it's off the table

After last month implying that a return to Australia for the Vans Warped Tour was "unlikely", stalwart promoter AJ Maddah has confirmed via Twitter that it will not only not be heading Down Under in 2014, but won't be held internationally at all.

It's the death knell we were hoping to avoid for the festival's chances this year, and incredibly sad news for fans of the esteemed punk festival, which was first staged in Australia back in 1998.

It made its long-awaited return last year following a lengthy absence -- which itself wasn't without controversy -- boasting a veritable who's-who of the past two decades of punk, hardcore, post-hardcore and ska among its line-up, including Every Time I Die, The Used, New Found Glory, Saves The Day, Less Than Jake, Of Mice And Men, Millencolin, The Amity Affliction, Parkway Drive, The Offspring, Hatebreed, All Time Low, Bayside, The Story So Far and Confession.
