The band will be here for the first time in 24 years.
Yesterday's big music news was that the mammoth hard rock band that is Aerosmith will be back in Australia for the first time in 24 years this April and May, with dates announced along the east coast of the country.
Despite their shaky times and periods of inactivity, the band are one of the most enduring rock bands around, having been going at it since way back in 1970 when they formed in Boston. The band have sold over 150 million records around the world.
The Sydney show will be a particularly large one with Wolfmother, Grinspoon, Spiderbait, The Dead Daisies, Kingswood and Diva Demolition playing the ANZ Stadium show. The Dead Daisies - which features Jon Stevens, Charley Drayton, Richard Fortus, Jim Hilbun and David Lowy - play support on both of the other dates.
