They might have only formed in 2017, but Pinkish Blu have established themselves as a formidable force, and now they have the support of 123 Music.
The Adelaide outfit have inked a record deal with the company following the release of their stunning new single, Superstar.
“I wanted to talk about what love can be without being mushy and sappy,” vocalist Brice Young said of the new tune.
“I didn’t want to go to that place of weakness, I wanted to go to a place of wonder and intrigue. For instance, when you really feel love, the sky may seem more blue, and the smell of rain might make you hungry… Love can really enhance the part of us that has brought the world all of its weird and wonderful art.”
The Music’s Dan Cribb caught the band in action during Music SA showcase event Scouted last month, noting:

“When the lead guitarist is sporting a white turtleneck and all band members are wearing denim, you know you're in for a good time, and that's exactly what Pinkish Blu delivered with their brand of polished indie-rock, executed with infectious energy and a charming presence from vocalist Brice Young, who had some of the strongest vocals of the night. The Stag was packed and the soundsystem was on overdrive.”
Pinkish Blu have supported the like of The Rubens, Trophy Eyes, Kingswood, Delta Riggs, WAAX and more and played Groovin The Moo earlier this year, thanks triple j Unearthed.
