Because arts should be accessible to all.

Today in 'good on ya, mate' news, the Adelaide Festival Of Arts has announced that the success of last year's 'Pay What You Can' initiative means that they'll be doing it all again this year!

Five of the festival's best selling and most popular shows will have a selection of tickets available at the venue box office one hour before the performance. The aim of this absolutely good guy manoeuvre from festival organisers aims to give those on low incomes the opportunity to attend shows that they might otherwise be unable to afford. Festival Chief Executive Karen Bryant reinforced the idea behind the move: "It's hugely important for us to ensure as many people as possible can access the best the Adelaide Festival of Arts has to offer."

Shows with Pay What You Can tickets available include A Fleur de Peau (Saturday 27 Feb at Adelaide Oval), Go Down, Moses (Sunday 28 Feb at Dunstan Playhouse), Monumental, The Holy Body Tattoo (Friday 4 Mar at Festival Theatre), Tectonics Adelaide (Saturday 5 Mar at Adelaide Town Hall) and Nelken (Carnations), Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch
(Wednesday 9 Mar at Festival Theatre).
