AC/DC vocalist Brian Johnson has stepped aside from upcoming touring after doctors informed the musician he faced "total hearing loss" if he continued to perform.

In a statement, posted via the band's website, AC/DC stated they were "forced to reschedule the 10 upcoming dates on the U.S. leg of their “Rock or Bust” World Tour, [as] lead singer, Brian Johnson, has been advised by doctors to stop touring immediately or risk total hearing loss."

Reports suggest the rescheduled dates, due for later in the year, will feature a fill-in vocalist. Guitarist Malcolm Young was also forced to stop performing in 2014 due to ill health.
