AC/DCAustralian rock legends AC/DC haven't spoken to bandmate Phil Rudd since the drummer's attempt to procure a murder and drug charges that emerged earlier this month.
In an interview with BBC News, band co-founder Angus Young said Rudd "had got himself in a pickle" and discussed "issues" they had with the drummer during the making of the band's latest album Rock Or Bust.
"We had a few issues before with him," Young began. "Even when we were recording it was hard even to get to him to do the recording. And then he was supposed to show up to do promos with us, to do video shoots and a few other things, and he never showed up for that either."
Despite these issues, Young said the charges against Rudd "took everyone by surprise".
In the inital aftermath of the news, AC/DC released a statement saying the situation would not affect the band's plans to tour in 2015, something Young reiterated in the BBC interview.
"At this point it's kind of a question mark. But if we're touring, there will be a drummer in place, put it that way."
"He's got to sort himself out I think."
Rudd was initially charged with attempting to procure the murders of two people and possession of methamphetamines and cannabis. The murder threat charge was dropped the day after the drummer appeared in a New Zealand court.
It was just over two months ago that the iconic outfit confirmed the retirement of guitarist Malcolm Young, who is battling dementia.
AC/DC will release Rock Or Bust later this month.
