Are AC/DC Teasing A Sydney Show?

Something is coming...

AC/DC fans have been thrown into a frenzy following reports of cryptic posters around Sydney.

As Triple M reports, a poster addressing Sydney fans, asking 'Are you ready?', was spotted outside of Angus Young's old high school, while the band’s social media was updated overnight to feature their iconic lightning bold as a neon light.

Last week NME noted that images of the band performing with vocalist Brian Johnson and drummer Phil Rudd surfaced online, accompanied by rumours they were taken during a video shoot earlier in the year in the lead up to a new album.

Since the release of Rock Or Bust in 2014, fans have been speculating and hoping for new music, with rumours dating back to last year that they had been in the studio together working on a new record.

Industry insiders have previously speculated that the band would be embarking on a huge tour in 2020, plans that were obviously halted when the COVID outbreak began, but the fact that the new poster addresses Sydney, and its accompanying website features road gear alongside a hidden band line-up, suggests that perhaps they’ll be playing a one-off Sydney show (or live-streaming an event) to launch whatever it is they’ll be releasing.

Or the posters could simply be a great way to drum up anticipation around the band's next release.
