AC/DC Charge Into US Charts After Appearing On Blockbuster Ad

Australia's best known rock band AC/DC have found themselves back in the American albums chart after their track Shoot To Thrill appeared on a television commercial.

The ad is for US broadcaster DirecTV and was directed by Doug Liman, who's previous directing jobs include Hollywood blockbuster films The Bourne Identity and Mr & Mrs Smith.

As a result of the exposure Back In Black, the album Shoot To Thrill appears on, has bulleted back up the US charts into 73 on the Billboard 200. Released in 1980, the album is the first after the death of former frontman Bon Scott and has spent a total of 148 weeks in the American chart, with its highest point being four.
