"Today, four years in, we have created an event that sets a new standard in the festival world, and shows others what is possible.”
The annual Ability Fest has announce their massive lineup for the 2021 iteration of the festival.
The event - headed up by champion tennis player and TV host Dylan Alcott - champions accessibility and inclusivity for all patrons, regardless of their requirements, and features a hugely diverse lineup of performers.
"Ability Fest started as a place to bring friends together to enjoy good quality live music - no matter what your access challenges may be," Alcott stated of the event.
"Today, four years in, we have created an event that sets a new standard in the festival world, and shows others what is possible.”
The 2021 Grand Slam champion continued, “Following the world’s longest lockdown, people want to reunite and reconnect, so I’m not only excited that Ability Fest will be a place where friends and strangers come together over good music, but I’m also proud to be supporting our musicians after one of their most challenging years yet.
"In previous years our artists have all donated their time, but thanks to the Australian Government’s RISE grant program and the City of Melbourne, we’re able to pay our artists for their time.”
