If you don't know who To The Wind are, then your life is emotionally and mentally poorer because you aren't listening to them.
'The Brighter View' is the latest album from Washington melodic hardcore/metalcore group To The Wind, and it follows on from their immensely solid 2014 effort, 'Block Out The Sun & Sleep'.
Now, these guys aren't quite as well known as the bands they normally tour with and who they are stylistically associated with, like say, Vanna, Being As An Ocean, Counterparts, Defeater, Stick To Your Guns, and so on. Which is a such a crying shame too, as To The Wind really do deserve to be bigger than they actually are. I guess that's just the music industry for you, though.
In any case, 'The Brighter View' came out on Friday, October 7th via Pure Noise Records, and as I have a bunch of other albums to review right now, I figured that I'd do a short, "unconventional" review of the record now before it passes the relevant point of our cultural zeitgeist. Okay, so are you ready? Cool, here we go...

... It's really fucking good. Like, really, really fucking good! It's like sex, but for your ears. Oh hey, what's that down there? Why it's a full album stream up on YouTube courtesy of PNR. Huh, go figure. You should go listen to it. Like, right now. Thank me later. Cheers.
