A New One-day Event Celebrating Feminist Punk History Is Coming To Melbourne

Taking over the Melba Spiegeltent and The Tote in January.

Melbourne's Yarra City Council, Sonic aGender and Creative Victoria have announced a new one-day event, Rah Rah Retrospective, a "feminist punk retrospective of Melbourne music, from the Wet Ones to Wetfest".

The event will see a daytime sessions, including talks, panels and intimate performances, at the Melba Spiegeltent, and a show at The Tote that evening. 

Speakers and panellists include Wet Lips' member/Wetfest organiser Grace Kindellin, Girls Rock!'s Shannon Driscoll, The Wet Ones/Girl Monstar's Sue Shaw, Sleater Kinney/99's Laura Macfarlane, High Tension's Karina Utomo and more.


There will be performances from Lazertits, Moody Beaches, Porpoise Spit and more, as well as a reunion from Mace.
