A New Music Industry Conference Heads To Sydney's Cronulla Beach

It will run from 18 - 22 November

A shiny new music festival and conference called Australian Music Week (AMW) has made a beeline for the spectacular backdrop of Sydney's Cronulla Beach, for a five-day celebration of new and exciting music.

The music summit is due to be held from Wednesday, 18 November to Sunday, 22 November and will host a selection of panels, workshops, master classes, networking sessions and live showcases from music industry executives, recording heavyweights and musicians, designed to focus on the business of global music.

Up and coming bands hoping to get scouted, or at the very least heard, can apply to showcase their work from Wednesday, 8 July, with gigs taking shape in and around Cronulla's many live music venues.

With the music industry landscape and its streaming wars coming to a head in a big way (see our stories on Tidal, Apple Music and SoundCloud), the conference will be a great way to learn how to navigate the future of music in Australia.
