PICNIC, a new dance-theatre work conceived and performed by KAGE Creative Director Gerard Van Dyck, with an original script by Melbourne writer, broadcaster and provocateur Marieke Hardy, PICNIC, which Van Dyke describes as "a surreal physical poem" is his welcome return to the solo stage after 14 years.
At once funny yet very serious, PICNIC is a timely and highly personal work in which he questions his own privileged position as an artist and reflects on his role in society. PICNIC runs from 19 - 30 Aug at fortyfivedownstairs.
