The man is in a serious condition at Southampton General Hospital
US-bred rock vets A Day To Remember have had to cancel a UK gig mid-performance and see their venue evacuated after a fan fell from a balcony during their set at a show on Wednesday night (GMT).
As British uni paper The Galleon reports, A Day To Remember were about half an hour into a performance for hundreds of punters at Portsmouth's Guildhall when an unidentified man fell from the venue's seated balcony to the floor below.
Circumstances surrounding his fall have not yet been clarified despite rife speculation on Twitter; however, consistent eyewitness reports suggest that, regardless of the cause, the band swiftly stopped playing and paramedics were quick to respond (and shielded the scene from onlookers' eyes), before the building was evacuated entirely.
A Day To Remember have reacted to the fan's fall on Twitter, expressing their sympathy for the injured man and their apologies for having to scuttle the gig prematurely.

A Hampshire Police spokeswoman told The Portsmouth News that the man had been taken to Southampton General Hospital with serious head injuries. Officers were still taking statements and working to determine the course of events at 11.30pm (GMT) last night.
The Portsmouth gig was the first on A Day To Remember's current tour of the UK. They're next due to play a show in Plymouth on Friday night.
