'90s Pop Singer Melissa Tkautz Is Now One Of Sydney's 'Real Housewives'

She has a string of hit songs, three LP's and an ARIA Award to her name but '90s pop star Melissa Tkautz is taking on a completely different role this year, today being announced as one of the cast members for the debut season of reality series, The Real Housewives Of Sydney.

The singer, best known for tracks such as Read My Lips, Sexy (Is The Word) and Skin To Skin, joins the show having not released any new music since her 2012 greatest hits album The Hits & More.

After gaining stardom on Aussie soapie E Street from 1990-1993, Tkautz launched her music career in 1991 with Read My Lips which peaked at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart.

She quickly followed that success up with the song winning the Highest Selling Single gong at the 1992 ARIA Awards.

The new TV series is to begin filming in September and is expected to screen in 2017.
