Tragic loss for a promising singer
19-year-old former contestant on 2014's X Factor Australia, Nathaniel O'Brien has passed away having been in a car crash yesterday in South Australia.
As The Age reports, O'Brien was on the road after performing at Burra Country Music Festival when his car crashed into a tree in the town of Hanson, which is 150km from Adelaide.
He was reportedly alone in the car and on his way to his next gig. South Australia Police said the young singer died at the scene of the crash.
O'Brien's family was heavily involved in the country music scene, having started Country Music South Australia and organised the Burra Country Music Festival that O'Brien had last performed at.
