1825 Records Confirm First Signing With Aussie Artist Xavier Dunn

Exciting times for 1825 Records

Launched last year as a joint effort between Unified mastermind Jaddan Comerford and Wonder Management's Matt Emsell, manager to the likes of 5 Seconds Of Summer and Matt Corby, 1825 Records has just signed their very first artist — Sydney singer/songwriter Xavier Dunn.

Having dropped his debut EP BIMYOU on 2 February, Dunn's cover of Iggy Azalea's Fancy has climbed to #1 on Spotifty's USA Viral Chart, as well as #2 on the the Spotify Global Viral Chart.

BIMYOU also features delightful covers of songs like A$AP Rocky's Fuckin' Problems (never has the lyric, "I love bad bitches, that's my fuckin' problem/I love to fuck, I got a fuckin' problem" sounded so beautiful) and Kanye's Gold Digger.

The signing is sure to be the first of many from Comerford and Emsell's 1825 Records, born out of a "collective love of music, kombucha and world domination", in their effort to bring Aussie artists to the US market.

Comerford recently picked up a nod for the MBW Young Executive Award, making it onto a top-15 shortlist of industry executives on a global level.
